Barbara Garrie

Jacquelyn Greenbank

Jacquelyn Greenbank’s arts practice employs a domestic approach to art making, utilising found-objects, recycled materials and meticulously intricate hand-crafted objects that capture a moment, sensation or pseudo-historical event.  Her inquisitively weaving narratives often blend social histories and the occult, popular culture and the paranormal in a unique and humourous way.   Since graduating from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts with Distinction in Painting, Greenbank has exhibited in galleries and biennial arts events in both New Zealand and internationally.  Most recently, (2015) she was award the Olivia Spencer Bower Foundation Art Award.  Her work is held in major public and private collection.
